Beware of Offence

Matthew 18:7
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

As the world tilts gradually to the end of things, offense has become one major tool the enemy uses to rob people especially Christians of the benefits of redemption. The devil will careless about your prayer life if he knows your heart is still fertile for the seed of offence to be sown. It’s a fact today that offence, anger, bitterness and unforgiveness are holding more people in stagnation than the devil and witches and wizards combined.

OFFENCES COME AMONGST OTHER THINGS TO:
1. Lay hold on your heart and redirect your emotions. Your feelings determine your momentum.

2. Arrest your joy, which is your fuel for life’s motion. The absence of joy equals the arrest of progress.

3. Cause distraction of vision and redirect focus.
In an attempt to prove a point to the offender the likelihood of deviation from original intent becomes possible.

4. Engage you in needless competition.
Competition is a great robber of human potential. This is where the offender’s achievement rather than your God designed possibility becomes your pursuit.

5. Activate bitterness in your heart.
Bitterness is a fertile ground for demonic and psychological misbehaviors.

6. Resist your answered prayers.
Praying and fasting with offence only helps you sweat and lose weight physically without any spiritual benefit.

7. Open the doors of aggression towards other innocent people. It makes you sometime paranoid. You suspect and interpret people’s actions and intents in the light and picture of your offender.

HOW TO HANDLE OFFENCE:
1. Expect less or nothing from people.

2. Understand that offence is inevitable in every human relationship.

3. Always apply the platinum rather than the golden rule.(the platinum rule states that you treat people the way they desire to be treated rather than the way they deserve or how you desire to be treated)

4. Every offense has an encapsulated reward system attached. You don’t need to fight back, nature does it for you.

5. Develop a meek spirit. Know you are nothing without God’s mercies.

6. Develop deeper intimacy with the Holy Spirit. This helps you control your emotions and reactions.

7. Forgive in advance for your sake rather than the offenders’.

MY COUNSEL:
1. Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life. Prov 4:23.

2. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Phil 4:4.

3. Shall the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith?
or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shaketh it?
as if the rod should shake itself against them that lift it up,
or as if the staff should lift up itself, as if it were no wood. Isaiah 10:15.

4. Deliberately make yourself happy always even when situations are saying the contrary.

I PRAY FOR YOU:
Every root of offence is uprooted from your life in Jesus name!

Every trap of offence being arranged for you is intercepted and frustrated in Jesus name!

Grace to let go quickly is activated for you in Jesus name!

This is your year to be celebrated in Jesus name!

See you next week on this platform.
You can share with others if you are blessed and led to.
