Don’t be Angry, it’s Normal

Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.
Then they called the blind man, saying to him, “Be of good cheer. Rise, He is calling you.” Mark 10:46-49.

The events of life are designed to passively instruct the wise in order to save him from experiencing the pains and hurts others who went ahead did experience. It’s unfortunate many hardly submit to the instructions of life but unconsciously choose to have personal experiences which many times slow their life’s pace and makes a disaster of their lives and destiny.

Blind Bartimaeus for several years was a community liability, solely dependent on people for motion and vision. He was notorious for living off handouts.

While he was In that state, it’s possible to have been carried away by the people’s consistent “love, care and benevolence “ until opportunity presented itself for the people to prove their true love for him, alas, the opposite was the case. He couldn’t fathom why the people who all these while had shown him “love” would want to deny him the opportunity to be healed and cease to be a burden to them. He didn’t stop to argue with them on why they wanted to stop him but focused on the main subject hence, shouted with every fiber of strength he had left to compel attention knowing that opportunities like that don’t come everyday. Ironically, after he succeeded in commanding Jesus’s attention, the same people turned to give him attention.
