And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them. Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport. And Samson called unto the Lord, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life. Judges 16:26-30.
The Philistines were restless, sacrificial and strategic in their quest to conquer their archenemy-Samson.
They succeeded in capturing Samson, plucked out his eyes, had him incarcerated, made him to grind mills as well as reducing him to an object for public entertainment. A little while later, they became too engrossed in the euphoria of their victory that they forgot to notice his regrowing hair. While in celebration, they cared less about the central pillars holding the structure in which they were celebrating. Hmmmm!
How true is this scenario today amongst so many people. Many celebrate victory so much that they forget the process that led to the victory and the factors undergirding the victory.
WHAT ARE YOUR CENTRAL PILLARS?
1. It could be your life of personal prayer, concentration, sacrifice or dedication that brought you up to where you are today.
2. It could be your initial passion, commitment to duty and drive towards excellence when things appear not to be working very well.
3. It could be your boss, husband, employer, Senior Pastor or mentor.
As an associate Pastors, church member, employee, wife etc. Your greatest assignment is to watch over your point man at the place of prayer for God’s consistent preservation, direction, guidance and focus, knowing that, whatever affects him has direct bearing on your life either spiritually, financially or emotionally.
The confusion of leadership is always the stagnation of followership.
Every point man is always a principal target of enemy schemes.
Every successful attack on the point man brings temporal and sometimes permanent setback on the followership.
I told the women in our church that when God starts lifting your husband, that’s when to hold him up in prayer the more because of the attraction of success to Jezebels and Delilahs who want to reap where they didn’t sow as well jealous and envious human beings rather than be carried away in enjoyment.
As an associate Pastor, your prayer increases towards your setman for continuous passion and focus anytime you see increase in grace or material blessings upon him rather than envy him or be carried away in the corporate glory of the moment.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1. Your central pillars are always the major targets of your adversary.
2. Whatever affects your pillars will affect your structure and cover.
3. The enemy you think you have conquered may only just be in coma.
4. Your season of victory should deepen your root of consecration.
5. The enemy is always at his best plot in your seasons of upliftment and celebration.
6. The enemy will always like to hibernate around your central pillars.
7. The enemy does not have anything to gain trying to bring you down- he just wants it to make news.
My COUNSEL:
1. Be sensitive always.
2. Guard every information about your central pillars from the knowledge of the wrong persons who may reveal them to your enemy.
3. While you enjoy your victory, don’t lose sight of what produced it.
I PRAY FOR YOU:
You won’t be trapped in any mess this year!
Every conspiracy against your central pillars is intercepted and frustrated in Jesus name!
Your victory over the enemy shall be continuous this year in Jesus name!
See you next week on this platform.
Share with others if you’re blessed and led to.
