Parallel Principles

And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father’s house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods? And Jacob answered and said to Laban, Because I was afraid: for I said, Peradventure thou wouldest take by force thy daughters from me. With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live: before our brethren discern thou what is thine with me, and take it to thee. For Jacob knew not that Rachel had stolen them. And Laban went into Jacob’s tent, and into Leah’s tent, and into the two maidservants’ tents; but he found them not. Then went he out of Leah’s tent, and entered into Rachel’s tent. Now Rachel had taken the images, and put them in the camel’s furniture, and sat upon them. And Laban searched all the tent, but found them not.
Gen 31:30-34.

Looking at the above scriptures I can’t but relate to the reason many children of God still suffer in the course of their Christian journey.

Rachel had served and gotten used to her father’s god for many years to the point of unwilling to let go even after connecting to the lineage of the covenant. She operated a two faced principle while in Padanaram but didn’t know it won’t work for her in Canaan. She was connected to the covenant through marriage to Jacob but still worshipped the gods of Padanaram. Her husband unknowningly placed a curse of death on whomsoever the gods were found on not knowing his favourite wife was sitting on something not needed in his life’s journey.

Now hear this!
Without sounding judgmental but many Christians today are only so by stickers, denominational affiliations or by confessions rather than by lifestyle. This accounts for the almost inability to differentiate a christian from others in our today’s world.
Bringing the same lifestyle and principles of operation from the world into the camp of God is completely unacceptable.

A yet to believe in Christ may live in compromise and suffer no immediate consequences but it won’t be so for a genuine believer.
Many self acclaimed believers are still sitting upon anger, bitterness, envy, strife, malice, unforgiveness, competitive jealousy, lies, backbiting or fraudulent lifestyles but wouldn’t mind to fast for twenty one days, seven days or three days with three hours midnight prayers concerning a challenge yet the challenges seem unfazed. God is not mocked. Your fasting and heavy prayers can’t intimidate Him. You can’t bend His principles with your tears. Many a christian will prefer to fast and sow seed than to forgive an offense. Many prefer to be in church daily shouting amen and I receive to obeying a simple scriptural instruction to show concern to a brother or neighbor. This is the major reason miracle centres seem to flourish so well in Africa.

Listen! God is not wicked! He’s is not Baal that needs you to weep and cut yourself before he can answer you.
Look at what 2 Timothy 2:19 says, Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

If you’re interested in getting Divine attention and response, you must be willing to let go what you are sitting on and embrace the principles of the kingdom.

What Rachel was unwilling to let go caused her terrible pains and facilitated the end of her journey on the way before they arrived at the main destination. It won’t be your portion in Jesus name!

My counsel:
1. Serve God well and watch Him bless you well.

2. Never be threatened by any curse from man if you have nothing to hide.

3. Be open to God about your fears and weaknesses and demand for help and grace to overcome.

4. Drop the baggages you experienced in the world and open up for a new exciting experience with God in your Christian journey.

5. Look for an instruction to obey anytime you are in need rather than a prophecy to claim.

I pray for you:
You won’t end your journey on the way!

Every pain you are currently experiencing is arrested!

You won’t die before your testimonies show forth!

People shall gather to celebrate with you this season in Jesus name!

See you next week on this platform!
You share with others if you’re blessed and led to.
